Brunch Review: A Fantastic Feast at The Local Spot If you're looking for a place that nails both the food and the vibe, look no further than The Local Spot. We kicked things off with a couple of Mimosas, which were perfectly refreshing and served with a generous pour of champagne (because, why not?). The perfect start to what turned out to be a fantastic brunch. Now, let's talk about the blueberry muffins -- hands down, the best I've ever had. Soft, fluffy, and bursting with juicy blueberries in every bite. They were warm and came straight from the oven, and I could've easily had a dozen of them! Absolute must-try. For the main event, we tried a little bit of everything. The Oysters Rockefeller were fresh and packed with flavor. The creamy spinach and Parmesan topping were the perfect balance to the briny oysters -- it was a true crowd-pleaser. The Chicken and Waffles was comfort food at its finest. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, paired with a light, fluffy waffle that wasn't too sweet, so it balanced out the savory perfectly. And, of course, drizzled with just the right amount of syrup. Pure heaven. I couldn't resist trying the PS Smash Burger, and wow, it was worth it. The beef patty was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and smashed to crispy perfection on the edges. The burger came with all the right toppings -- fresh lettuce, pickles, and a sauce that tied it all together. The environment was equally impressive. Chill but energetic, with a fun, welcoming vibe that made you feel right at home. The service? Top-notch. The staff was friendly, and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Pricing was also surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the food and the experience. You definitely get great value for what you're paying. Overall, The Local Spot delivered an unforgettable brunch. From the delicious Mimosas to the blueberry muffins, and everything in between, I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back yet delicious meal with fantastic service. I can't wait to come back!
Each time I've dined here, it's been such a pleasant dining experience. I especially love going for brunch, because the Shrimp & Grits and Blueberry muffins are PHENOMENAL!!! Some of my other favorites are the Lobster Mac, Truffle Fries, Steak Frites and the crab cake. Great wine selection and my favorite brunch cocktail is the Peach Bellini, which is tasty. I love that it's quaint and a low noise level. It's definitely one of my favorite places in the area.
Had reservations for New Uears Eve. Arrived very early and were seated right away. Service was spot on. Lobster bisque was out of this world. My wife and I both ordered filet mignon- she ordered medium rare I ordered Pittsburgh style. My wife's was fine but mine? I would struggle to even call it rare. They offered repeatedly to take it back and cook a new filet but I refused. Who wants to sit there on NYE and watch their wife eat a steak and then have her watch you eat? So, why five stars? Because the food was excellent, the service outstanding, they owned their mistake and offered to make it right, and when the bill came there was a generous credit. What more can you ask for? We will be back.
Has my Birthday Dinner here, food was great but pricey, we had a wonderful quiet dinner in the back room. Service was good.
The steak was cooked well and the lobster bisque was tasty. Service was a little slower than I would expect, with only three tables at the time. Very laid back atmosphere, with light music playing as we were enjoying the food.
